Imprimis was proud to be a sponsor of the Mosaic Family Services Annual Champion of Human Rights Luncheon on Friday, October 25 at the Adolphus Hotel in Dallas, Texas. Mosaic is a great nonprofit which serves survivors of human rights abuses from around the world. The luncheon honored Judge Robert Canas with the Champion of Human Rights Award. Abi Ferrin, talented fashion designer, and winner of Texas Next Top Designer, recounted her story of surviving domestic abuse. WFAA anchorwoman Gloria Campos emceed the event and Valerie Freeman, CEO of Imprimis Group, was the Honorary Chair.
Imprimis not only helped this worthy organization by being a sponsor of the luncheon, but also donated laptops to the safe house, Mosaic Transitional House. This apartment building provides safe shelter for immigrant women and children who have survived domestic violence and/or human trafficking.
This wonderful facility provides residents with culturally sensitive, structured services to help them rebuild their lives and lead them toward independence and self-sufficiency. Funds from the luncheon benefits Mosaic’s programs and customized services. To see what you can do, go to www.mosaicservices.org.
