Imprimis Group hosted an internal “Lunch and Learn” on Wednesday regarding “Financial Traits of Successful People.”  The program was presented Consumer Credit Counseling Service and our speaker was Todd Mark who is their Vice President of Education. CCCS is a 40-year old nonprofit organization that provides consumers with the tools necessary to improve their financial wellness. They offer face-to-face and phone counseling as well as webinars and seminars on more than 30 financial topics.

In this era of reality shows like “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” we may lose sight of the fact that it does not take a high income to build wealth and that frugality is a virtue, not a vice.  He stressed the advantages of budgeting and living below our means in order to build up savings and create a more stress-free life.

Todd was a great presenter.  He was funny and kept the talk lively.  He speaks frequently on KERA and was a regular guest for three years on CNN’s “Dollar Signs.”  He was also a producer for five years with the “Clark Howard Show,” a nationally syndicated consumer talk show that focuses on educating and empowering consumers.
