2012 ANSERTEAM SAVE THE DATE CONFERENCE_img_16

ANSERTEAM, LLC, our global staffing company, celebrated its 10th anniversary in Las Vegas at our annual owners meeting.  When we started ANSERTEAM (Alliance of Staffing and Employment Resources) back in 2004, we knew our revolutionary staffing model would work, but we didn’t realize how difficult it would be to get prospective clients to understand and utilize our services. Fast forward 10 years and the concept has become reality and it is working beautifully. We are now a fast growing provider of staffing, recruiting, managed service and VMS programs nationally, and we celebrated our 10th year with great profitability, growing sales and no debt.  We have received accolades from our customers – Diverse Supplier of the Year – from a multi-billion dollar client where we provide a managed service program for their temporary staffing all over the U.S. and Canada.  Last year we were named one of the 50 fastest growing woman-owned firms in the U.S.

In addition to our financial updates and company accomplishments, we also bring in great speakers to keep our members up to date with the latest and greatest information critical to our business and that of our clients.  One of our speakers was Bryan Pena, VP of Contingent Workforce Strategies and Research at Staffing Industry Analysts.  Bryan is an expert on all aspects of contingent labor programs, including management issues, MSP models, VMS technology and program pricing strategies. Bryan kept emphasizing his belief, with research to back it up, that “cheap is expensive.” We had a long discussion of pricing as some companies seem to focus on price way more than quality.  Lately we’ve seen some bankruptcies in the staffing industry, and since we competed against some of these companies and know what they are charging, we agree that “cheap is definitely expensive.”  He relayed the story of how Toyota – two years ago – came out with an edict that production costs needed to be cut by 20% — two years later, Toyota had major problems with their vehicles costing them billions of dollars in lost revenue and damage to their reputation.

Bryan also talked about the adoption of MSP use and VMS use – both services have plateaued in growth and the trend has been for companies developing their own MSP program and/or VMS tool. Bryan also told us that the most successful staffing programs are managed by Human Resources, not Procurement. Our very own VMS tool, One Point, has some great new improvements in operational features.

Another of our speakers, John Rutledge, with Assurance Agency, gave us the latest update on the Affordable Care Act. He went through various scenarios of plan offerings for staffing companies. He believes that we will pass through our costs to our customers on a per hour basis and figuring out that cost will be key. The ACA will be an administrative challenge for staffing companies or any company with a flexible, variable workforce. John is an expert on the ACA an a national thought leader for our industry.

The President of our marketing/website/social media company, David Searns, gave us a great talk on what we need to be doing with our SEO, Twitter, Blogs, Mobile Sites, etc.  David is always informative and gives us insight into who is coming to our site, how to interact with them, how to get more out of social media, etc.

We also heard from our background screening company, ESS, a certified woman owned firm, that we have been using for background screening for years. We use them because they are reliable and ethical and have been recognized as Background Screening Credentialing Council Accredited – an elite group. Another of our partners is MJA & Associates which has been helping us save thousands of dollars every year through government tax incentives. Our other partners who gave great presentations were Advance Funding, Coats Staffing Software, and Kittrell Paycard.

Scott Wintrip was our featured speaker and workshop presenter. For several hours, Scott worked with us on innovating our services, and it was powerful. He helped us think outside the box – ANSERTEAM is an innovative model anyway – but we want to keep innovating and providing unique services and tools to our customers.

Overall, our annual meeting was a great success. The owner/members of ANSERTEAM are a committed, successful group of very experienced staffing professionals and we have our BIG goal – giving our clients value beyond their expectations.  We want to be, as our annual meeting theme stated, THE FORCE OF THE FUTURE.
