Valerie Freeman, Chairman of the Board of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas, invites you to visit the Girl Scouts 100th Anniversary Exhibition in the historic Hall of State on the Texas State Fair grounds.  The exhibition opens this Friday, September 28 and runs throughout the duration of the State Fair, ending on October 21.

The historic Hall of State

This high-tech wonderland, created by CORPORATE MAGIC and AT&T, is sure to amaze and thrill with its eye-popping interactive experiences.  Visitors will have the chance to take a walk through a life-sized cookie box and explore Girl Scouts past, present, and future.  A mobile app will lead visitors through leadership journeys and fried Samoas will be available!

The $2 million exhibit has been two years in the making and will have events staged throughout the Fair. Texas Girl Scouts are invited to participate in evening parades, and special “moments” events will highlight guest speakers, authors, dancers and more. Valerie Freeman was a part of the Exhibition Preview on Saturday night.

The Girl Scouts is dedicated to building girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. This is an exhibition that all Girl Scouts can certainly be proud of- generations young and old. Last year, the Texas State Fair attracted almost 2.5 million visitors…that should make for one large order of Samoas this year! The anticipation is building as opening day nears, so grab your tickets and head out to celebrate Girl Scouts, Texas style.
