Job Summary:

The Senior IT Project Manager position manages all aspects of intermediate to large size projects throughout the project lifecycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change control.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Translates project requirements into project objectives and tasks
  • Manages and reports on task assignment to project resources throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develops detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Defines, assembles, and manages project team
  • Sets and manages expectations, managing and escalating issues, and changes and resolves project issues
  • Facilitates team meetings to ensure effective business decisions are reached using knowledge of team dynamics
  • Measures progress toward goals, revises project objectives, and documents applying change control procedures
  • Evaluates requirements and determines overall nature of project that will best suit business needs

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 8+ years of experience in business or requirements analysis, handling increasingly complex projects
  • 3+ years of experience in the mortgage industry
  • Demonstrated experience working independently to meet project requirements with minimal supervision
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Encompass (Loan Origination System) preferred and required dependent on role
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the functional design and architecture of application systems across multiple technologies and platforms
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of customer service best practices
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Mortgage Loan Originations and the Loan Process from borrower application to Post Closing activities, including Secondary Marketing, Investor and Servicer activities.
