  • Responsible for administration and organization of the end user computing arena, including performance, installation, maintenance, licensing, and security of devices, operating systems and applications, tracking, measuring and reporting of the status of the systems, as well as suggestions for improvements and growth
  • Essential Functions/Performance Dimensions and Tasks Time Spent (%)


The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

Administration 70%

  • Assist in the design of architecture standards for system management software including Active Directory, Exchange, and Microsoft deployment and security systems
  • Perform hardware and software upgrades
  • Perform network and security audits
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure they are consistent with Company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, resolve and escalate, as appropriate, hardware and software problems on servers, input/output fleet, and workstations
  • Analyze system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance
  • Perform software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, and/or reconfigurations
  • Produce and maintain timely and accurate documentation to support implementation, operations support, and quality/compliance requirements
  • Ensure the integrity and security of data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer w accordance to business needs and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Manage end-user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations in accordance with best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance
  • Perform system tests, backups, and restores; and, perform capacity planning and data modeling for technical projects that are focused on introduction of new systems and applications
  • Establish criteria and perform technical evaluations, including proof of concept along with supporting analysis and documentation
  • Maintain asset inventory control and order equipment as needed and approved


Job Specifications

  • Licensure/Certification: None
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related area
  • Experience: 1-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
